L'adattamento a fumetti del racconto La Sesta Sentinella (The Sixth Sentinel) di Poppy Z. Brite giunge al Preliminary Ballot del Bram Stoker Award. The Sixth Sentinel è sceneggiato dal tre volte premio Bram Stoker Alessandro Manzetti e da Stefano Fantelli, con le illustrazioni del fumettista anch'esso premio Bram Stoker Stefano Cardoselli.

Il volume, in lingua inglese, è uscito nel dicembre del 2023 per Indepedent Legions Publishing.  L'opera è completamente made in Italy, incluso il lettering di Alessio Stucci, e rappresenta all'estero il nostro paese.

Non è la prima esperienza di Alessandro Manzetti nel celebre premio dedicato alla letteratura dell'immaginario dark. Nel 2015 vede la vittoria con la silloge poetica Eden Undergound (Crystal Lake Publishing),  nel 2017 la sua casa editrice vince lo Speciality Press Award, nel 2019 torna a trionfare nella sezione poesia con la raccolta The Place of Broken Things scritta con Linda D. Addison (Crystal Lake Publishing).  Nel 2021 la prima vittoria nella sezione graphic novel con The Inhabitant of the Lake (Independent Legions Publishing) co-sceneggiato con Stefano Cardoselli, che ha anche illustrato il volume dell'adattamento del racconto L'abitante del lago di Ramsey Campbell.

Cardoselli e Manzetti conseguono anche le nomination con i volumi Kraken Inferno (Independent Legions Publishing, 2022)  e Her Life Matters (Independent Legions, 2020). Manzetti riceve anche altre numerose nomination, ma rimanendo nel campo del fumetto segnaliamo Calcutta Horror (Independent Legions, 2019).

Stefano Fantelli è  scrittore e sceneggiatore, Active Member della Horror Writers Association, ed è considerato uno dei principali e più originali autori italiani contemporanei di genere dark e new weird. Scrive sceneggiature per Bonelli (Zagor e Dylan Dog) e per altri editori italiani portando avanti la sua carriera di autore di fiction.
